Friends For All Seasons (and other English country dance music) by Charlene Thomson
Friends for all Seasons features Eighteen English Country Dance tracks composed by Charlene Thomson and played by Hey for Three with Eileen Nicholson Kalfass, Laurel Sharpe, and Charlene; Watson Abbey with Jeff Bronfeld, Julian Shepherd, Rob Siegers, and Charlene; and, West Conway Trio with Kim Patch, Eric Smalley and Laura Dowd.
English dances include Irfona’s Waltz choreographed by Mary Williams, and Le Carrousel du Mont Royal choreographed by Arduina Alonzo included in the publication Sea to Sea celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday. The Tempest, a dance from Gary Roodman’s latest book, A Combination of Calculated Figures - Volume 12, is played by Hey for Three. Other dance music includes Silver Bay Dusk and A Southern Gentleman by Loretta Holz; Eve’s Waltz and Giverny by Terry Glasspool; You’re Sauvain and Long Live Pat Shaw by Carmen Giunta and David Sauvain; Autumn Cascade by Dan Seppeler; 50 Candles by Carmen Giunta; and, Friends for all Seasons and Wild Rose by Charlene.
The music was written in appreciation of people, special places, and memorable events and includes the wedding waltzes for her daughters Elizabeth and Ellen.
