This gathering of dance organizers from the Southwest (AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OK, TX, UT) and beyond (MA, TN) converged at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque on September 19, 2014. The weekend provided a wide range of pertinent resources for organizers of contra, English country, square, gender-neutral and community dances.

Twenty-one workshop sessions covered topics in three over-arching areas: Strengthening Your Organization, Improving Your Dance, and Growing the Market. The weekend also allowed time for sharing meals, ongoing conversations, making new connections, and having fun dancing together both evenings. (The photo above was taken at the local Saturday night dance.)
