London, June 22. Extract of a letter from Bristol, dated
June 18.
Sir Abraham Elton Bart. is just come to town. In the
first place went a great many weavers, and next the musick:
Sir Abraham's son and nephew finely mounted at the head of
above 300 horse, with tobacco in their hats, some gilt; then
the coaches, and just before Sir Abraham's a dozen men in
white shirts, dressed with ribbons. The bells of most of
the churches have been ringing the greatest part of the day;
colours on a great many of them flying; and the 'great guns
firing still; the houses dressed with Boughs, &c.
