London, . . . There is now in the possession of Lord
Mansfield, at his house in Bloomsbury Square, a picture of
Betterton, the famous tragedian, painted by Mr. Pope, which
is esteemed a fine likeness, and a good portrait.  We have
been assured, that this celebrated poet (though it is a
circumstance very little known) excelled so much in this
sister art as to be little inferior to his friend Jervas,
who he has so immortalized in his works.
