On Friday, at eleven at night, arrived at Newcastle upon
Tyne, Mr. Serjeant Glynn, in order to plead the cause of the
freemen of that corporation. As soon as it was known the
town was lighted up, all the bells set a ringing, and the
populace dragged his carriage to the lodging provided for
him during his stay.
