Extract of a letter from London, dated April 24. . . [48
lines, first-hand report of walking with the pro-Wilkes
crowds at Middlesex elections.] I was stunned with the loud
huzzaing and acclamation on the event of the day, the
procession stopped at the palace, while the music played,
God save the King, the same was done at the Mansion-house,
at night the principal streets in the city were illuminated.
