Ran away from the subscriber, in Prince George county, on
the 18th of this instant, an Irish servant man, named Thomas
Hoy, aged about 31 years, of a middle stature, with a scar
under one of his eyes, and some scars on his head; his
little finger of his left hand has been broke, and is very
crooked; he is very much given to strong drink, and lisps
when he is in liquor; plays very well on the violin, and
pretends to teach dancing: He took with him when he went
away, a large gray gelding, branded on the near buttock CDG
in a piece but not very plain, also a saddle and bridle, a
light colour'd broad-cloth coat, two check shirts, a pair of
books, one brown and one small black wig, and a pair of
leather breeches patch'd between the thighs. Whoever
secures the said servant, so that I may have him again, if
above 10 miles from home, shall have ten pounds reward, if
under, four pounds, paid by [signed] Tsh. Degraffenried.
