Paris, Jun 2. M. de Vaultrier being willing to shew a mark
of the joy he had in the recovery of Cardinal Fleury, caused
a solemn Te Deum to be sung during all the last month in
every parish of his siegneory, and fireworks to be play'd
off. This gentleman has a son twelve years old, who is a
student at the military school of Strasburg, and passes for
a miracle; he understands many languages, is well vers'd in
history, geography, mathematicks, and musick. The King has
lately given him a considerable gratuity for having
maintain'd a publick examination in mathematiks, highly to
the approbation of the officers of the garrison, and all who
were present.
