Petersburg, Dec 10. . . [5 sentences describe a victory by
the Russians over the Turks at Oczakow, in which the Turks
are forced to lift their siege]  As the abandoning this
enterprize procures the crown of Russia as much advantage as
she could have reaped by the compleatest victory, a
resolution has been taken to cause a solemn Te Deum to be
sung here and in all the other cities of the empire, in
thanksgiving for it. . .
