London, December 7. On the arrival of the news that the
Lord Mayor had carried his election for the city of London,
a certain patriotick hosier at Castle Cary, in
Somersetshire, ordered the bells to be rung, and the ringers
to drink 45 pints of strong beer at every publick house in
the town; and what is remarkable, it just amounted to 45s.
