London, October 14. Yesterday there was a great levee at
St. James's, but no Council; their Majesties dined at the
Queen's Palace, and in the evening went to the Covent Garden
Theatre, to see the comick Opera of Love in a Village. His
Majesty seemed to be in raptures the whole time of the play;
and when the favourite song, by Miss Jameson, In Love Should
you meet a fond Pair, was finished, the Queen, with a smile
on her countenance, turned round to the Dutchess of
Ancaster, and exclaimed, "An amazing voice, and exquisite
judgement."
