The King was entirely ignorant of everything that was
passing; for his Majesty went from the masked ball, which
was given at Court that evening, at twelve o'clock, where he
had danced and played at Quadrille with General Gahler, his
lady, and Counsellor Struensee. Prince Frederick, the
King's brother, was present at the ball, but not much
attention paid to him, and he did not stay to sup there. . .
