London, September. We hear that a celectrated actress
(belonging to a Company of Comedians lately licensed, and
now performing at a capital town in Essex) has sent
challenges to two young gentlemen there, insisting upon
immediate satisfaction, as a reparation for their aspersions
upon her character, but they have both thought proper to
decline accepting it.
