Run away from the subscriber, in Lancaster, on the 9th of
this instant (July) a Virginia born Negro fellow named
George, about twenty six years of age, five feet seven or
eight inches high, a well made fellow, tolerably black, has
a small scar across one of his eyebrows, and a nick in the
under part of one of his ears, but which I cannot be
positive. He speaks clear, discourses well, and plays well
on the fiddle. As he has some time gone by water, I expect
he will endeavour to get on board a vessel, in order to make
his escape. . . [7 lines, terms, five pounds, signed]
Richard Chilton.
