[London] The expence of the alterations made this season at
Vauxhall gardens will, it is said, amount to 5000 L. at
least. . . . [2 paragraphs] At the cross walk a platform is
laid for dancing, which will also be covered; this platform
will admit 60 couple to dance on, without accommodation.
Over this platform will be lighted 2000 lamps. . . [3 lines]
The large room is most elegantly finished, the cieling
newly painted with musical emblems; a platform will be laid
for dancing the whole length, from the organ to the eastern
door. This room is to be illuminated with 4000 lamps. The
Prince's parlour is also intended for dancing.
