On Thursday the 17th instant the Right Hon. Charles Greville
Montague, Governour of South Carolina, delivered a speech to
the Commons House of Assembly of that Province. . . [21
lines] at 9 o'clock at night of the same day, without
waiting for the report of the committee, the Governour sent
the drum about, and by proclamation dissolved the Assembly.
