Extract of a letter from Deerfield, Nov. 1. On Friday last
a young man carrying a stick of timber up the steeple in
this town, to hang the bell, the scaffold gave way, and he
fell 45 feet to the ground; he was taken up much bruised,
tho' not a bone broke nor joint dislocated, and is now in a
hopeful way of recovery.
