Letters from Paris dated Jan. 29th, say: "Miss Guinard, a
celebrated Opera dancer, has just given an instructive
example of generosity and charity; she has sold all the
presents which she received on New Year's Day, from
different noblemen, and other opulent persons, who pay
tribute to her talents, in order to distribute the value
thereof immediately among the poor of her parish, amounting
to 9000 livres."
