By permission of the worshipful the mayor of Williamsburg,
at the old theatre, near the capital, by the Virginia
Company of Comedians, on Friday the 8th of April will be
presented a tragedy, called
Venice Preserved, or A Plot Discovered.
Duke, by Mr. Charlton. Priuli, Mr. Bromadge. Jaffeir, Mr.
Godwin. Pierre, Mr. Verling. Redamar, Mr. Bromadge. Renault,
Mr. Parker. Eliot, Mr. Walker. Belvidera, by Mrs. Osborne.
To which will be added a ballad opera, called 
Damon and Phillida.
Arcas, by Mr. Bromadge. Corydon, Mr. Godwin. Damon, Mr.
Osborne. Cymon, Mr. Parker. Mopsus, Mr. Verling. Phillida,
by Mrs. Parker.
Tickets to be had of Mr. William Russell, at his store next
door to the post office, and at the door of the theatre.
The doors to be opened at six, and the play to begin at
seven o'clock precisely.
