Conclusion of the remarks on the Virginia Pindar. . . . [3
columns, alternating between poetry and prose, including the
following:]
  Orpheus, by his music, we are told, could fetch his wife
from hell for once, but was not able to do it a second time;
which was nothing to what our author can effect by the power
of his verses; who can dart his friend Blair the prophet to
heaven, and fetch him back again, as often as he pleases. .
. [7 lines] who knows but the notice and interest of his
friend might one day have procured him to be made the Colly
Cibber of Heaven. But to pay him the compliment which he
pays Mr. Blair, since Heaven cannot need him, so much as
earth, it is hoped he will long remain here, one of the
sweet singers of Zion. Poor Zion, whose condition he so
often and so movingly laments in Bathetic strains!
