Culpeper County, October 9, 1783.  Run away from the
subscriber, some time in January, 1781, two Virginia born
Negro fellows, George and Isaac; George is about 37 or 38
years of age, about 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, well made,
is not very black, has had the bridge of his nose hurt, has
a small nick in the under part of one of his ears; he is
very expert in playing the fiddle and dancing; can both read
and write, and speaks very well.

It is thought they were with the British, and made their
escape from the siege at York.
