To the Public. [Notice of financial argument between Samuel
Calvert and W. Nesbitt]
. . . [2 paragraphs on the dispute]
Callous and insensible as he is to all manner of reproof,
and steeled against every suggestion of remorse for his
calumniating disposition, she knows it is in vain to remind
him of these words of a celebrated Poet. [Shakespeare]
"Who steals my purse steals trash, steals nothing;
"'Twas mine, 'tis his, and may be slave to thousands:
"But he that filches from me my good name,
"Robs me of that which not enriches him,
"And makes me poor indeed."
[signed] W. Nesbitt.
