New-York, July 29. On Tuesday the 20th instant, a
commencement was held in the College of this City, before a
very crouded and splendid assembly of the inhabitants of all
denominations.
. . . [Ceremonies described]
Several gentlemen of the town were pleased to entertain the
audience with some excellent pieces of Psalmody and Church
Music during the performance, accompanied by the organ, and
the band belonging to the 18th or Royal Irish regiment,

politeness, was pleased to lend on that occasion.
