Citation | SCGCJ.772.056 9 Jun 1772:11 (341) London, March 21. There were upwards of 500 gentlemen and ladies at the Lord Mayor's rout last Wednesday night, among them many persons of distinction. The ball was opened at nine o'clock by Mr. Nash, the Lord Mayor's son, and Mrs. Trecothick, who appeared as Lady Mayoress. The dancing continued till about half an hour past twelve; and before two all the company had left the Mansion-House. The whole was conducted with great regularity. |
