. . . [Torn page, probably reporting on an election] The
whole was conducted with great tranquility and regularity;
after the poll was over, a number of horsemen, with colours
flying and music playing, attended by several thousand
people, went through St. James's-Street, the Strand, and
over London Bridge to the King's-Bench, to congratulate Mr.
Wilkes on his success.

At night the inhabitants of all the principal street
illuminated their houses, the bells of several churches were
rung, and every joyous measure exhibited, to testify their
joy on the occasion, which was concluded with great prudence
and decorum.
