London, April 29. A few days since, amidst a company of Bon
Vivants, Mr. Foote being violently afflicted with the tooth-
ach, sent to Ruspini, the celebrated dentist, for
assistance; who finding the tooth very much decayed,
proposed that it should be immediately drawn. After the
operation, the humourist expatiated, with great concern,
upon the loss of his grinder; on which Lord March, who was
present, replied with great briskness, come, come, Foote, do
not make yourself uneasy, for I am convinced it is the worst
thing that ever came out of your mouth.
