Yesterday being the day on which John Wilkes, Esq; was to be
released from the imprisonment of two and twenty months; for
having republished the 45th number of a paper called the
North-Briton, . . . the same was celebrated here by ringing
of bells, displaying of colours, and abundant other
demonstrations of satisfaction and joy, by several companies
at different houses; . . .
