Providence, March 27.  Wednesday last, being the anniversary
of the repeal of the late Stamp-Act, the same was celebrated
here by the free and loyal people of this town. The morning
was ushered in by the ringing of bells, and beating of
drums, . . . In the evening a grand ball was given by the
young gentlemen of the town, at which was a very grand
appearance of ladies; . . .
