Rates of Carriage, as settled by the Commissioner for
regulating and taking care of the streets of Charles-Town,
at a general meeting of the Board, held at the State-House,
August 23d, 1764.
. . . [Rates and regulations set for carting and other
services]
[Resolved] That the scavenger do make proclamation, by beat
of Drum, round the town, that all swine and goats found
ranging the streets of Charles-Town after the 26th instant,
will be seized, killed, and sent to the work-house,
agreeable to the directions of the act.
