The subscriber intends to open a Musick-School, the 15th day
of November 1762, where ladies, not exceeding twelve in
number, may be taught the principles of that science in
theory, so as to enable them to attain the practical part in
the short space of twelve or eighteen months, on due
application given, at the hours appointed, viz. from two to
six in the afternoon for four days in the week; each lady
paying quarterly twenty-five pounds for a year certain.
Constant attendance will be given by
[signed] Benjamin Yarnold.
N.B. To remove the difficulties which daily occur in the
practice of musick, from the detached and short times of
giving lessons in the common way, and to render the study
thereof more pleasant and successful, is the principal end
of this undertaking.
