At Jacksonburg (after two occasional rejoicings there
before, on the reductions of Cape-Breton) Monday last was
particularly observed, as a day to express the loyalty and
satisfaction of the inhabitants, upon the late success of
his Majesty's arms in North-America, and was spent in
feasting and congratulations, drinking suitable toasts,
beating of drums, firing of guns, &c. And, from most other
parts of the country, we hear, there has been the greatest
and most general rejoicings ever known.
