[Letter from good authority, from Brunswick describing the
surrender of Fort Frontenac]
The Governor being out of town when these agreeable accounts
arrived, the inhabitants put off public rejoicings 'till his
Excellency's return the next day; when our joy was
demonstrated by every [?] means: in the evening, the
Governor gave a [bal]l to the ladies, Charles-Town never
before appeared so glorious, and there were bonfires, fire
works, &c.
