London. . . Oct. 6. . .  About one in a morning, a
detachment of the Third Regiment of Foot Guards, under the
command of the Lord Charles Hay, and several other officers,
consisting of upwards of 100 men, march'd from the parade to
Lincoln's Inn Fields playhouse, and a part of same number
was to mount guard there every day till further orders, to
be ready to quell any disturbance that may happen from the
adherents of the Pretender.
