From the Gentleman's Magazine for May, 1743.
There is scarce a country in Europe, at present, where the
people are not, more or less, out of humour with their
governors. . . [1 column]
In Spain the inhabitants are distracted, to see provinces
change their ministers so often, and their Prince, or rather
Princess, continue obstinate in pursuing wrong measure* . .
.
   * [Footnote:] this court having resolved to send several
battalions of militia, and 16 companies of grenadiers to
reinforce the Army of Don Philip, the first battalion had
mutiny'd on the 2d day's march, fix'd their bayonets, and
refus'd to carry arms out of the Kingdom, alledging it was
contrary to their contracts, and above 400 of them returned
home with drums beating and colours flying.
