On Monday the 12th instant, John Campbell a Scotch
Highlander, soldier in Lieutenant Collonel Cochran's company
in the Regiment commanded by his Excellency General
Oglethorpe, deserted from his duty at Charlestown, . . .
likewise deserted on the 13th instant, from said place of
said regiment, and of Capt. Norbury's company, William
Graham an Irish man 5 feet 8 inches high, he is a lusty
strong made man of a blooming complexion, wears short light
brown hair, plays on the fiddle. . . They wore their
regimentals when they deserted, and are young men from 25
years of age to 30.
   If they return in 48 hours after they have notice of this
to their colours by delivering themselves to any of General
Oglethorpe's officers at the house of Mr. Ch: Shepheard
vintner shall be pardoned, otherwise they may depend there
will be a diligent search made for them: And whoever
harbours or assists them in their escape, shall be
prosecuted to the utmost rigour of the law.
