Letters from Paris of the 16th instant say, that 8 days
before (on the 8th Febr.) M. de Galacziere and Baron de
Mackee has taken possession of the Dutchy of Bar in the name
of Stanislaus I. King of Poland; and that afterwards M. de
Galacziere, furnished with a commission from the King of
France, possessed himself eventually of the same Dutchy in
his Majesty's name. The ceremony was performed with great
splendor; there were costly feasts, fireworks, and a ball
that lasted till morning.
