On Tuesday at Drury Lane Theatre in the entertainment of The Camp, when Mr. Gage, the Exciseman was relating his having sent lime for the soldier's hair instead of flour, for which he narrowly escaped being sent to the halberts, he added, "but as I knew I was in the wrong, I demanded a court martial on the serjeant." The stroke was felt, and the audience marked their approbation by three loud plaudits. |
