London, November 11. On Wednesday night at Guildhall the
ball was opened by Lord Mahon and Miss Wilkes. The dancing
continued till one o'clock, soon after which the greatest
part of the company departed, much pleased with the elegance
of the entertainment. There was plenty of all sorts of
wines. Some young gentlemen who staid after the rest of the
company got upon the hustings and being heated with liquor
quarrelled and threw bottles at each other, upon which the
officers prevailed on them to quit the hall about three
o'clock.
