London, May 9. On Friday afternoon, about four o'clock,
their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cumberland,
with their retinue, landed at Dover in one of Mr. Minet's
boats from Calais. . . Their Royal Highnesses left Dover
immediately after dinner, and arrived at Canterbury at half
an hour past seven; the bells were rung, and a very numerous
populace seemed to give their Royal Highnesses a most hearty
welcome to their own country.
