St. James [London], January 21. Wednesday last being kept
as the anniversary of her Majesty's birthday there was a
very numerous and splendid appearance of the nobility,
foreign minister, and other persons of distinction to
compliment their Majesties on the occasion. The guns in the
park and at the tower were fired at one o'clock; there was a
ball at court in the evening; and bonfires, illuminations,
and other publick demonstrations of joy throughout London
and Westminster.
