village of Katherinehoff and Cronstadt]
According to accurate observations it appears, that the
waters rose a foot and a half higher than in the great
inundation which happened here in the year 1752. The plays
at the Court theatre are stopped for some time on account of
this public calamity. Arrangements are making to give all
possible relief to the poor sufferers.
