Dancing Assembly. The managers of the Dancing Assembly,
having met with many embarrassments in the execution of
their trust, from an unfortunate difference in sentiment
between certain of the subscribers, anxious, if possible, to
give general satisfaction, and to have their line of conduct
particularly described, wish a meeting of the subscribers
and those gentlemen to whom the subscription list hath been
presented, on Tuesday the 30th instant, at twelve o'clock,
at Cape's Tavern, that such alteration may be made in the
rules as the body of subscribers may deem necessary, and
that the vacancies occasioned by the resignation of some of
the managers may be filled up. As the business for which
this meeting is requested, is of consequence to the
amusements of the season, it is hoped every gentleman
concerned will give his attendance.
N.B. As the day on which the next Assembly ought to be
held, is with some dedicated to public worship, the managers
deem it expedient to postpone it to Friday the second of
January next.
