On Monday his Excellency the Commander in chief received the
compliments of the officers of the Army and Navy, with those
of the gentlemen of the city on the anniversary of her
Majesty's birth-day. . . [3 lines] and in the evening the
General gave a ball and supper at the Assembly Room, to a
very brilliant company of ladies and gentlemen.
