George Webster, Grocer, At the Sign of the Tea-Canister, in
Water-Street, No. 1077, a few Doors to the Eastward of Mr.
Richard Sause's, Cutler, has for Sale the following
Articles:
Fine Hyson, Souchong, and Bohea Teas. Double refined,
single ditto, Muscovado, and lump Sugars. . . [65 lines list
candy, chocolate, sugar, pepper, oatmeal, spices, soap, hair
powder, blacking ball, cloaths brushes, corks, salt, cheese,
pipes, tobacco, ink, quills, liquor, etc.]
Said Webster would undertake the teaching a few Gentlemen,
(who are of musical inclination) during the winter evenings,
the German flute, at his house. His price is one guinea
entrance, and one guinea per month. He has at present a
young gentleman under his instruction, who has not been
above two months learning with him, that can now play
several tunes with a good deal of delicacy, and much
satisfaction. He would likewise engage to teach any young
gentleman half a dozen tunes in the space of one month,
provided he can only sound the flute at his first entering.
