so interwoven, that politicks are the theme of every
intercourse, and almost the subject of every dream. One
night lately I dreamed I was walking round the
fortifications, and was very much surprized to see a flag
with thirteen stripes displayed on the Hornwork, and French
and Continental sentries posted on the works. While I was

which he was leaving at different houses. Curiosity prompted
me to purchase one from him, and I leave your readers to
guess my astonishment on finding it dated in the year 1800,
and entitled, The Charlestown Independent Gazette.
