London, October 6.  Some people talk of the reduction of
Fort St. Philip's with the same ease as that of a common
redoubt.

If therefore the Dous ever plant their standard on the wall
of St. Philips's, they will not, in all likelihood have
reason to sing Te Deum for the facility of their conquest.
