London. Sept.11. Lord Shelburne is making every necessary
preparation to stand the attacks of opposition which is
determined upon being put into execution in the course of
next parliamentary campaign. Mr. Pitt is appointed to
overlook the works, and Lord Mahon is to be chief trumpeter.
The bench of Bishops is to form a battery of twenty-four
pounders, and the Lord Advocate is to have the direction of
forty-five carronades, which can be turned any way. The
judges are appointed chief engineers, and several of the
borough members are to man the horn works, and oppose all
