London, October 12. A duel was fought on Sunday, in a field
near Kensington gardens, by a young Irish student of large
fortune, and an officer lately arrived from America. The
quarrel originated the preceeding evening at one of those
infamous receptacles called a hazard table, not many miles
from Drury-Lane. . . [10 lines] The spirited, yet warm
discipline of Justinian, who, though very young, seemed,
like Shakespeare's Harry Percy, inclined to "cavil for the
ninth part of a hair," insisted on having his fire returned,
or an acknowledgement made him for the supposed affront. . .
