The Virginia Gazette, of the 20th instant, contains Colonel
Stewart's letter to Lord Cornwallis, giving an account of
the action at Eutaw on the 8th of September last.  The
return of his loss is as follows:
2 Commissioned Officers, 6 Serjeants, 1 Drummer, 75 Rank and
File, killed.  16 Commissioned Officers, 20 Serjeants, 2
Drummers, 313 Rank and File wounded.  10 Commissioned
Officers, 15 Serjeants, 8 Drummers, 224 Rank and File
missing.
Total of the killed, wounded and missing, 692.
