Boston, November 19. Upon the glorious and memorable
occasion of the compleat conquest and capture of the British
army under Lord Cornwallis, by the allied forces in
Virginia, the Hon. Consul-General of France, gave a ball
last Monday night, to the Governor and Council, the
Commodore and Officers of his Most Christian Majesty's ships
in this harbour, the American Officers, and a great number
of the principal ladies and gentlemen of this town. The
Consul opened the ball with the lady of his Excellency the
Governor.
